I currently work as a Software Engineer at GoCompare.com developing backend API's using C# Azure Function Apps.
I have been a software developer working in the .NET framework since 2010. I have worked in multiple industries including fiance, education, charity and public sector.
I worked for the NHS Wales Informatics Service as a Lead Developer from 2015 to 2020. In 2017 I started a Xamarin R&D project that has turned into WCP Mobile, an app that allows clinicians to access patient data included test results on a mobile device. The project grew into a 4 person developer team which I managed and we released on the Apple App and Google Play stores. The app was shortlisted for a Digital Entrepreneur Award for Innovation in the Public Sector.
Having written the requirements and design documentation following consultation with design experts and feedback sessions with clinical users, I have built great experience designing, planning, interviewing, recruiting and managing a software development team. Including being extremely hands on with the actual development for the project, which includes a Xamarin iOS and Android app, a Web Service and an MVC website for user administration.
